Dan Workman is the man. He’s the owner of Sugarhill Studios, the oldest recording studio in the country. He’s an artist. A musician. A storyteller. A businessman. A renaissance man.

He’s Houston-born, Houston-bred. He left for Houston a little while when he was younger – he was in college and needed to experiment. But he missed the lemonade and skateboarding the empty streets at midnight. He came back, and has never left again.

And now – lucky you – he’s your tour guide.

Guy Hagstette is your tour guide. He’s been obsessed with making this park a reality for all Houstonians. You couldn’t ask for a better host. Guy is a native Houstonian. And proud of it. He’s the President of the Discovery Green Conservancy. And proud of that, too.

Guy was a key player in the redevelopment of Downtown Houston. He lives in Downtown Houston – just a stone’s throw from his beloved Discovery Green.
